CreditBank PNG is recruiting a suitable candidate for the role of Relationship Manager-Mortgage & Personal Lending.
The incumbent will be responsible for driving frontline sales in the mortgage and retail lending segment, including cross-selling to achieve key targets and business outcomes for relevant segment. The role is based in Port Moresby.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare and compile new home loans, residential property investment loans and personal loans applications.
- Covers all personal lending across Port Moresby, Lae, Mt Hagen and Kokopo Branches.
- Maintains communications with Senior Relationship Managers and Branch Managers on all personal lending requirements for customers at our Branches.
- Perform quality checks on other loan applications that are ready for approval stage and settlement.
- Write/Create loan contracts.
- Contribute to the compilation of lending proposals and ensure all aspects meet the company’s high credit quality standards for assessment by the Credit and Risk teams.
- Build quality relationships with the business community, business partners and business introducers across PNG.
- Keep clients informed on CreditBank loan policies and regulations in place.
- Conduct face-to-face interviews and take telephone enquiries with current and prospective clients regarding CCF loan products.
- Maintain a customer relationship portfolio through visitations and other touch points.
- Develop enduring relationships with CreditBank existing, prospective customers and rainmakers and demonstrate a solid understanding of key business sectors and industries.
- Contribute to the development of unique value propositions, products and services for target customer segments.
- Maintain relations with relevant stakeholders (Real Estate Agents, Panel Valuers, Motor Vehicle Dealers, Panel Insurance Companies and brokers for insurance covers).
- Adhere to all Financial Prudential Standards and governance, risk and compliance policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all internal frameworks, policies and procedures.

- Other duties as directed by the Head of Lending
- The duty statement may be amended from time to time to reflect the changing requirements of the position.
Requirements
- 5+ years or more experience in a financial institution.
- 5+ years’ experience in credit/loan assessment or loans officer role.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) / interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Sound knowledge on financial analysis, loan analysis, underwriting
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, database, accounting software.
Formal Qualifications & Experiences
Mandatory:
- Bachelor’s degree in financial services or business-related studies.
