The Role
As part of its expansion, the company is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to lead its
Port Moresby branch. Reporting to the CEO, this senior role is responsible for growing loan and deposit portfolios, driving profitability, leading staff, ensuring compliance, and building strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and develop branch staff, particularly the Business Relationship Specialist.
- Grow the loan and term deposit portfolios through proactive business development and client engagement.
- Review and approve loan documentation, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Manage loan arrears and drive recovery strategies.
- Serve as the key relationship manager for clients in Port Moresby.
- Promote term deposit products and develop tailored investment strategies.
- Oversee daily operations, monitor market trends, and provide detailed performance reporting to the CEO.
- Represent the organisation at community, business, and marketing events.
What We’re Looking For - At least 5 years’ experience in business development, banking, or finance.
- Proven track record in portfolio growth, staff supervision, and client relationship management.
- Strong credit assessment, sales, and negotiation skills.
- High attention to detail and a solid understanding of compliance requirements.
- Ability to work autonomously and meet performance targets.
- In-depth knowledge of the Port Moresby market.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (preferred).
