Reservations Control Officer

We are now recruiting for a Reservations Control Officer. The Reservations Control Officer will be based in Port Moresby and will report directly to the Manager Reservations. He/She will be responsible to provide an outstanding level of customer service to both internal and external clients by responding promptly to their enquiries and providing information, advice and solutions to reservations and ticketing problems; make sound decisions about requests to waive the normal fare conditions based on a thorough knowledge and understanding of the fare rules and conditions of carriage; make group, nett fare, domestic staff travel and FOC bookings; make changes to PNRs that require a high security level to perform; check and authorize refund requests; action post flight updates; load schedules and process schedule changes; coordinate recovery of disrupted passengers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide outstanding customer service
• Have a thorough knowledge of rules and procedures
• Provide information, advice and solutions to problems
• Assess fare rule waiver requests and issue GMCs
• Action changes that require a high VRS security level
• Check and authorize refund requests
• Action post departure updates
• Make Domestic Staff Travel and FOC bookings
• Load schedules
• Action schedule changes
• Co-ordinate recovery of disrupted passengers

Qualifications/Experiences

• Minimum of Grade 12 level education with attainment of relevant tertiary qualifications
• Relevant working experience or understanding of work requirement
• Must have no criminal records
• Must possess good customer relations skills
• Must be able to work on the weekends/ on shifts
