Retail Supervisor

Coastal Retail Services Limited is seeking a reliable, customer-focused, and experienced Retail Supervisor to oversee daily retail store operations and lead our retail team in delivering excellent customer service, proper stock control, and strong sales performance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, managing store operations, monitoring inventory, ensuring accurate cash handling, maintaining store presentation, and supporting the achievement of sales targets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervising daily store opening, closing, and retail operations.
• Leading and monitoring cashiers, sales assistants and other retail staffs.
• Ensuring excellent customer service and handling customer complaints professionally.
• Monitoring sales performance and supporting the achievement of sales targets.
• Ensuring proper product display, pricing, tagging, merchandising, and store cleanliness.
• Checking stock levels, assisting with stock receiving, and supporting regular stock counts.
• Monitoring damaged, expired, missing, or slow-moving stock.
• Ensuring accurate cash handling, sales recording, EFTPOS transactions, and daily sales reconciliation.
• Maintaining compliance with company policies, internal controls, safety standards, and security procedures.
• Preparing and submitting daily sales, stock movement, staff attendance, and operational reports.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
• Certificate or Diploma in Business, Retail Management, Sales, Accounting, or a related field is an advantage.
• At least 2–3 years’ experience in retail operations, sales, or customer service environment.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
• Good leadership and staff supervision skills.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of cash handling, sales reconciliation, inventory, and stock control.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and POS systems.
• Ability to work under pressure, including weekends, public holidays, and extended hours when required.
• Honest, reliable, disciplined, and trustworthy character.
