Position Title: Rigid/Semi Driver

Location: Port Moresby, NCD

Department: Fuel Logistics

Reporting to: Operations Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for operating rigid or semi-trailer fuel tankers to transport fuel products safely and efficiently in accordance with EFM Fuel Logistics Division standards and national road regulations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Carry out pre-trip and post-trip inspections on assigned vehicles daily.

- Load and offload product safely following EFM procedures.

- Ensure all valves, seals, and hoses are secure before and after delivery.

- Follow all PPE, site safety, and road traffic requirements.

- Complete trip sheets, waybills, and delivery reports accurately.

- Report any vehicle defects or incidents immediately to the supervisor.

- Ensure the vehicle is clean, placards are visible, and equipment is in good condition.

- Drive responsibly, maintain journey discipline, and follow assigned routes.

- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations staff during trips.

- Ensure zero product loss, contamination, or environmental spillage.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- Valid Heavy Vehicle License with fuel transport experience.

- Knowledge of fuel handling procedures and safety regulations.

- Strong understanding of defensive driving and journey management principles.

- Basic mechanical awareness and ability to detect faults early.

- Good communication skills and punctuality.

- Ability to work independently and follow instructions precisely.
