The Role
Ignite your career as a Risk Officer! Drive organizational resilience by ensuring the fund effectively manages and mitigates risks across multiple domains, including financial, operational, and strategic areas, while safeguarding reputation and members' futures.

Main duties include:
  • Proactively identify, assess, and report on a wide range of risks, including operational, financial, investment, and strategic risks.
  • Collaborate with business units to create and execute timely action plans to address identified risks and mitigate exposure.
  • Continuously monitor the fund’s risk exposure and evaluate the effectiveness of existing internal controls.
  • Assist in the development and review of risk management policies and procedures to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and BPNG Prudential Standards.
  • Promote a strong risk-aware culture by providing training and guidance to staff on best practices and individual responsibilities.
  • Furnish comprehensive reports and recommendations to the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer and key stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a risk management, audit, or corporate governance role, preferably within financial services or superannuation.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance, risk management frameworks, and internal control systems.
  • Knowledge of the PNG regulatory environment, including the Superannuation (General Provisions) Act and relevant prudential standards.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct risk profiling, stress testing, and scenario analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills to present complex information clearly and maintain high-level interpersonal relationships.
