Job Summary:

The Stanley Hotel & Suites is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales Manager to join the Sales & Marketing team. The role is responsible for driving business growth, managing key accounts, and executing strategic sales initiatives in line with the Hotel’s Annual Sales Business Plan and Revenue Strategy.

The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong client relationships, particularly within the corporate, government, embassy, and NGO sectors, while ensuring all sales activities align with brand standards and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies and campaigns to achieve revenue targets
  • Manage proactive and reactive sales activities in line with the hotel’s business plan
  • Identify, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key accounts including government departments, embassies, NGOs, airlines, and corporate clients
  • Coordinate with Operations, Front Office, and Food & Beverage teams to ensure seamless delivery of client requirements, group bookings, and events
  • Prepare accurate and timely sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis
  • Support marketing activities including digital campaigns, promotions, PR initiatives, sponsorships, and advertising
  • Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and control of the Sales & Marketing budget
  • Train, mentor, and support junior sales team members to strengthen overall team capability
  • Ensure all sales activities are delivered in line with brand standards and service excellence expectations


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Business, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in hotel sales or hospitality industry (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of the Papua New Guinea corporate, government, and NGO market
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to mentor and develop team members
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Customer-focused, resilient, and results-driven approach
