Security & Plant Maintenance Lead – Port Moresby

We’re seeking a dynamic, hands-on Security and Plant Maintenance Lead to join our group during a key moment of transition. Our current Head of Security has accepted an overseas opportunity, leaving behind a well-established structure — now we’re ready for a leader who can bring fresh energy to both our safety operations and site maintenance reliability.

You’ll Lead With Purpose Across:

• Organised safety, security, surveillance, and team leadership
• High-quality customer service and professional guest greetings
• Stock monitoring and proactive theft prevention measures
• Routine maintenance of plant infrastructure, assets and fleet
• Staff training, contractor liaison, and service improvement

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coach a small internal security team and maintenance support crew
• Oversee safety and security of people, fleet, stock, premises and plant equipment
• Implement theft prevention programs and monitor inventory and asset movement
• Conduct routine audits, surveillance reviews and incident investigations
• Manage and maintain CCTV, vehicle tracking, alarm systems and basic tools
• Coordinate minor site repairs, equipment servicing and maintenance scheduling
• Liaise with external contractors and Group Security & Facilities teams
• Champion team morale, discipline and professional presentation
• Deliver briefings, inductions and customer-facing service training
• Provide flexible coverage, including weekends and public holidays

What You’ll Bring:

• Formal qualifications in security, risk management or plant operations
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in security, law enforcement, military or maintenance
• Minimum 2 years’ team supervision experience
• Experience in 24-hour operations or food production environments preferred
• Familiarity with maintenance workflows and asset reliability checks
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong leadership, team coordination and stakeholder communication skills
• Attention to detail in reporting incidents, risks and maintenance logs
