The Role

As the Senior Finance Partner, you serve as the key interface between Finance and business units, partnering closely with leadership teams to provide strategic, insight-driven support beyond traditional finance. Reporting to the Head of Finance Partnering, you leverage deep business understanding to identify opportunities, manage risks, and support enterprise-wide decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a senior advisor and strategic partner to General Managers and the Executive Committee, providing fact-based insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Drive financial performance across the Corporate and Retail segments by identifying internal and external opportunities for growth and efficiency.
  • Own the budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes for your segments, delivering forward-looking insights that drive sustainable performance.
  • Provide oversight on financial governance and risk management, working closely with People and Risk colleagues to drive holistic business change.
  • Lead and mentor a direct report, fostering a high-performance culture and building technical capability within the team.
  • Build and utilise strategic relationships across the organisation to facilitate networking and collaborative problem-solving.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications (bachelor's or higher) in Business, Accounting, or Economics are essential.
  • Professional certification with CPA PNG or an equivalent international body is required.
  • Extensive experience in senior finance or accounting roles, ideally within financial services or a complex corporate environment.
  • Proven ability to apply strategic thinking and planning tools to help the team to create and execute strategic priorities.
  • Expert-level proficiency in financial modelling, Excel, and ERP systems, with a strong commitment to standards of excellence.
  • Advanced ability to present complex technical and financial information to diverse stakeholders, including senior executive engagement.
