About the Role
This senior leadership role is responsible for the strategic direction, governance and performance of enterprise IT infrastructure. Reporting to the Head of Department, the role ensures secure, reliable and scalable platforms that support business continuity, regulatory compliance and growth, while mentoring and leading a high-performing infrastructure team.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and deliver infrastructure strategy aligned to business goals
- Ensure system availability, performance and operational resilience
- Lead compliance, audit readiness and IT documentation standards
- Manage, mentor and develop a cross-functional infrastructure team
- Oversee security architecture, availability and incident response
- Design and implement robust disaster recovery solutions
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation and optimisation
- Manage internal and external stakeholders and SLAs
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Computer Science or related field
- Relevant industry certifications; ITIL preferred
- 10–12 years’ IT experience, including senior management roles
- Proven leadership in enterprise IT infrastructure, ideally banking
- Strong knowledge of HP, IBM and Oracle technologies
- Experience with networking, troubleshooting and system uptime
- Expertise in hypervisors (Oracle KVM, VMware) and backup solutions
- Strong capability in Active Directory and Microsoft domain services
