Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Relationship Manager to join our client's Corporate Banking team. This key role is responsible for managing high-value business clients, cultivating long-term relationships, and working closely with internal teams to provide exceptional banking solutions to a diverse range of corporate banking clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate banking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage relationships with high-value business clients and prospects
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Relationship Managers and Lending Support, to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Lead and mentor direct reports (Credit Analyst and Lending Assistant) to optimise team performance
  • Provide expert banking solutions aligned with the bank’s strategy
  • Act as the primary point of contact for high-value clients, addressing their needs and delivering tailored services
  • Ensure compliance with all internal and external regulations, including regular reporting and documentation
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with key stakeholders, such as accountants, law firms, and government departments
  • Prepare and manage credit proposals ranging from AUD 10–250m, leveraging your strong transaction and analytical skills
Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience in Corporate Banking, with a strong focus on relationship management, credit analysis, and transaction structuring (ideally AUD 10–250m exposures)
  • Strong leadership skills, including managing and mentoring teams
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, including engagement with accountants, law firms, and government departments
  • Strategic thinker able to provide tailored banking solutions aligned with business objectives
  • Solid knowledge of banking products, services, regulations, and a strong commitment to compliance and risk management
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Preference for Mandarin-speaking candidates, but open to all qualified applicants
  • Relocation to Port Moresby is required for this full-time position.
