SENIOR SALES AND SERVICE CONSULTANT

The National Development Bank Limited (“NDB”) of Papua New Guinea invites suitable candidate for the vacant position of Senior Sales and Service Consultant for the WAIGANI Branch.

The Senior Sales & Service Consultant will assist the Sales & Service Manager and the Lending Admin Officer in processing loan applications, monitoring loan arrears position, including loan annual interviews with clients, project inspections, arrears chase, loan reviews and customer visitations.

Key responsibilities

• Assessing potential clients and writing good loans for submissions to Credit.
• Serve clients at the counter, by email, phone and other means of communication.
• Provide clients with the requirements needed to obtain a loan.
• Screening and rejecting non-compliant loan enquiries at the counter.
• Assess, process and monitor loan accounts until finalization.
• Carefully analyze new loan submissions so that they fall in-line with the bank’s lending policies and processes
• Have loan Interviews with loan clients to collect the required data and loan documents to enable the processing of loan applications.
• Monitor the accounts and provide technical assistance where necessary for the smooth flow of branches business operations.
• Write and serve loan arrears notices to the delinquent customers.
• Checks deposits by client banking, issuing bank receipts for loan repayments and fees payments, Day Transection Summary (DTS), and Petty Cash acquittals.
• Assist in preparing monthly business returns to give a sense of direction as to where the business is moving in terms of its monthly profit gain.
• Consult the sales and service manager’s advice on any queries that may demand the Managers approval or consultation.

Required Attributes

The ideal candidate will have:

• A bachelor’s degree in business, finance or commercial business is essential.
• Well versed with the bank’s lending regulations and policies/guidelines.
• Familiar with the SME and MSME loan application form
• Familiar with lending procedures and policies, especially with the new changes.
• Must have negotiating skills with 5 years’ industry experience
• Must have excellent communications skills and be able to communicate with different levels of people
• Must be familiar with Abacus
