K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. About the role

Joining our Operational Services maintenance team, this role is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of mine power supply and distribution system for all electrical equipment on the mine and on our exploration sites in Kainantu. In addition, this position will also play an important role in the training of trades assistants.

Key Accountabilities

• Inspect, isolate, and repair electrical malfunctions using various hand and power tools.
• Ensure that alarms and emergency electrical systems onsite are always operational.
• Direct and train subordinates to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and machines.
• Ensure and maintain safe work standards and practices in accordance with mine safety regulations for all tasks performed.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have a NATTB Trade Certificate as well a current electrical license. You will also need to demonstrate experience in the installation and maintenance of power distribution systems, transformers, motor control centres and starters. In addition to this, you will have some or all the following.

• Five (5) years’ experience working in a mining environment.
• You must have a High Voltage switching ticket.
• You must have a wide experience in installation and maintenance of Low and High Voltage transfers and starters.
• Must be a self-starter and very resourceful with ability to find solutions to problems to ensure the equipment availability is high.
• Be flexible and adaptable to the needs of the business and ability to work harmoniously as part of the team.
