Training Master

P&O Maritime Services, PNG BU are seeking an energetic and highly motivated expert in Training Master to join our dedicated team based in Motukea Island. This role is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned maritime professional to contribute to our operations and training of our local seafarers.

We are looking for individuals who have:

• Minimum Certificate of Competency as a Master of vessel greater than 500 GRT or (in line with STCW 2010 Manila Amendment)
• Valid STCW 95 training courses (in line with STCW 2010 Manila Amendment)
• Broad maritime industry experience with ability to implement problem solving skills
• Analytical and strong customer service orientation
• Familiar with local PNG culture and experienced with a multi-national work force is an advantage
• Team leading skills and ability to get the best out of an individual
• Ability to coach existing and new joined fleet Masters, transfer knowledge and practical skills.
• Minimum 10 years as Master – longer experience is an advantage
• Experience as a trainer at an accredited Maritime Academy and Training centre
• Excellent Knowledge and understanding of English language both written and verbal
• Experience of Master Trainer’s role combined with an extensive use of simulator is recommended and an advantage
